白公馆位于上海西区颇具诗意的的汾阳路上，是一幢气势非凡的灰白色洋楼，因为白崇禧、白先勇父子居住过而名噪海上。也许是因为白氏父子名声太大，所以人们习惯上就把这栋洋房称为“白公馆”。

 

The White Mansion is located on the poetic Fenyang Road in the western district of Shanghai. It is a magnificent off-white western-style building. It is famous because of the residence of Bai Chongxi and Bai Xianyong. Perhaps it is because the Bai family’s father and son are so famous, so people usually call this bungalow “Bai Mansion.”

对于建筑外观，修复团队整体保护了南立面、东立面及北立面外墙面、柱式及细部装饰；并根据历史图纸及历史照片恢复南立面二层开敞露台及三层门廊，恢复东侧半圆厅二层露台。

 

Regarding the appearance of the building, the restoration team protected the south, east, and north facades as a whole, as well as the external walls, columns and details. According to historical drawings and historical photos, the second-story open terrace and the third-story porch on the south facade are restored, and the second-story terrace of the semicircular hall on the east side is restored.

 

 

 

 

 

 

对外立面进行清洗与清理之后，石材露出了原本庄重的质感。门廊上爱奥尼柱式的立柱，纤细秀美，显得整座建筑更加优雅高贵。

 

After cleaning the exterior facade, the stone reveals its original solemn texture. The Ionic order pillars on the porch are slender and beautiful, making the whole building more elegant and noble.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“白公馆”由于年久失修，加上多年的餐厅经营改造，与原历史风貌已经大相径庭。修复团队根据历史图纸及历史照片恢复二层大厅标高，与楼梯间平齐，整体保护大厅空间格局及柱式。

 

Due to the disrepair of the “Bai’s Residence” for many years, coupled with the renovation of the restaurant for many years, it has been very different from the original historical style. The restoration team restored the elevation of the second-floor hall according to historical drawings and historical photos, which is flush with the stairwell, and the overall layout and column style of the hall are protected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

同时根据历史图纸及历史照片拆除后期新建隔板，恢复隔墙以及原有格局及天花、木护壁等装饰，还使用相近的材料与工艺复原了地坪及壁炉，力求恢复原本的风貌。

 

At the same time, according to the historical drawings and historical photos, the newly built partitions were demolished. The partition walls and the original layout and decorations such as ceilings, wooden walls were restored. The floors and fireplaces were also restored using similar materials and techniques to restore the original style.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 楼梯内部的细节修复同样考究细致，扶手雕花都依照原有风格修复，结合局部照明设计，再现了建筑原本的古典之美。

花园洋房是西洋文明和生活方式与中国文化交织的产物，而白公馆作为一座典型的花园洋房，花园也自然成为修复工作的一部分。

 

The garden house is the product of the interweaving of Western civilization and lifestyle with Chinese culture. As a typical garden house, the garden has naturally become part of the restoration work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 后期加建在二层露台的玻璃幕墙被拆除，恢复了历史原状，同时拉近了建筑与花园的距离，将盎然生机引入建筑之内。

 

Later, the glass curtain wall added to the second-story terrace was demolished, restoring the original state of history. At the same time, it shortens the distance between the building and the garden, bringing vitality into the building.

 

 

 

 

 

 

修复团队按照历史资料重建了曾经被拆除的水池，庭院内的满园绿意与建筑交相辉映。

经过修复的白公馆再现了初建时的法式文艺复兴风格古典美，掩映在盎然的绿意之中，令人思绪纷纷，仿佛又瞥见了她昔日的容颜。

 

The restored Bai’s Residence reproduces the classical beauty of the French Renaissance style when it was first built. It is hidden in the greenery, which makes people think, as if they have caught a glimpse of her former face.

副楼为沪剧团主要工作人员办公点，一楼为练功厅，偶尔也会作为小型演出厅，整体风格以演出厅标准设计施工，为历史建筑带来新功能、新气象，更能满足新时代的社会使用需求。

 

The auxiliary building is the office of the main staff of the Shanghai Opera Troupe. The first floor is the practice hall and occasionally as a small performance hall. The overall style is designed and constructed in accordance with the performance hall standards, bringing new functions and atmosphere to the historical buildings, which can better meet the new demand for social use.
